Weekly Animal Picture - Kina

In New Zealand we call this a Kina, elsewhere it is known as a Sea Urchin. Maori, our indigenous people eat them, but they don't really grab me I must say. I think this may be one of the nicest pictures I have ever put up here...

San Nakji for President!

  3. Sea urchin is a delicacy in Japan. I wouldn't eat it though. My uncle tells me about how people eat it over there. He lives in Japan. Ewww...I couldn't do it.

BUT...I must admit, that is a gorgeous picture. And the Kina is my favorite color!
