Flats



Today's helpful hint for Americans.

What you call apartments, we here in the British English world call flats.

  4. back home in Singapore...80%(almost) of the population lives in flats..the setbacks neighbours hardly talk to each other and it's extremely small...more suitable for rabbits!

  6. Most of time I call them apartments. But, like Space Nakji said, there are other times when "flat" is used.
