This is a Monarch Butterfly chysalis. I must admit that I haven't seen too many other chyslises (or is that chysali?), but this is quite beautiful. The golden thread is particularly amazing.
I just recently had to illustrate one of those. I illustrated green. But my editors said, no chysalis' are yellowish tan, not green. Now, here you go and post a green one.
