Dreams Are Free
If you could do anything, what would you do? What are your dreams? Here are some of mine...
1) Swim with a sea dragon
2) Walk on Mars
3) Record an album
4) Live with an undiscovered (except by me!) tribe
5) Travel to every country and territory in the world
6) Discover an archaeological wonder
7) Film a documentary
8) Win a gold medal for New Zealand, Cook Islands or Korea
So this is a tag of thoughts. What are your dreams?

Messed Up
Earthquakes can be terrible things. There is nothing you can do about them. Even the most developed and prepared countries cannot possibly stop them, look at Kobe in Japan... However they seem to affect the poor most of all as is the case with yesterday's earthquake in Java, Indonesia which is esitmated to have claimed more than 3000 lives. Just what that region needs less of... Coming 18 months after the tsunami killed 100 000 people in Sumatra.
What's messed up you ask? Our local TV news website is leading with Brad and Angie's new baby... The 3000 deaths get third billing. Now that's messed up!

Colour Comedian
I went and saw Stephen K Amos tonight. He is a British comedian here for the annual comedy festval. Unlike the devil comedian (see previous post) this guy was pretty funny. Again, as I only had my camera phone, the photo isn't the best, but it shows that he has a good aura. My phone is good at sorting out the good from the bad.

Babies
Must be something in the water.... Congratulations to Nathan, my blogging friend in Korea, who had a baby boy on May 23rd, just missing being a Taurus by one day! Well, we Taurus' are an exclusive club. Joining the club is my German friend's son who was born on May 20th. Congratulations to both of you and all your family!

Royalty has Called
Your beloved San Nakji is about to meet with royalty. I have an appointment with a princess. If only Mrs SN was not around then by turning on the old SN charm I could score myself some serious palace time!
The princess is coming to visit the place where I work and we are all going to enjoy a cup of tea and some buffalo wings. What better way to spend a Friday?
Better get practising on my bows!

It's Painful When...
I poke myself in my eye.
Yes, I was clever enough while driving to somehow shove my own finger on my own hand into my own eye. The result of which was an eye which I couldn't open and a lot of tears. Fortunately there were no casualties, but thoughts did flash through my mind of crashing and then having to explain to the cops that I eye-gouged myself... Well, that was my day, what's going on with you?

Vampire? Ghost? You decide
The annual comedy festival is on in Auckland and I made may way out into the moonlight to see Jimeoin, a supposed Irish comedian. Taking the below photos I think you will agree that there is nothing Irish about him. He is obviously an evil being with nothing but hate in his mind.... Or maybe not? Anyone have any idea?

May 17th
Today is Norwegian Constitution Day. I would just like to say to all my Norwegian readers how glad I am that they managed to get their country away from the evil grip fo Sweden. Could there be anything worse than being part of a country associated with Abba and... um.... blonde buxom people? No! No, I say!
All the best to you Norway. The land of fjords. The land of Aha!

San Nakji News
Here's something weird. I don't know if I have any Japanese readers out there... If so, then こんにちは!... Ever wondered what San Nakji looked like? If you are watching Japanese TV in the weekend you will be able to see me give a live interview. Yup, little old San Nakji is about to take it to a whole other level! It's a bit hush hush about what I will be talking, but if you happen to be hanging out in Tokyo and watching some evening TV, you may just see the next big thing in TV. Oh yes! San Nakji!

Weekly Animal Pic - Cockatoo
The second to last in my Australian animal series. I always thought of a Cockatoo as a petshop animal that lived a long time (60+ years) and could talk a bit. When I went into the Australian wilderness I saw them all over the place. Wild ones.... It was weird. Kind of like coming across a huge flock of budgies in the wild or a herd of poodles on the Steppes... It's a wacky country that Australia, but it has cool animals!

Time for a Change
In light of Ori, Friar and KS changing their templates, I thought I would too. I like Pixar a lot, so this one, while not Toy Story, is pretty good. Thanks to the creator, Christina. Grazie, mi piace molto! I have a couple of things I would like to change, but I really know nothing about templates or HTML. Could someone with knowledge please drop me a line? I would be most grateful. My email is sn(at)sannakji(dot)org, thanks!
I would also like to thank my blog friends who enquired after my safety after the tsunami alerts this morning. There was a major earthquake near Tonga early this morning and there were fears that one major(ish) New Zealand city could be hit by a tsunami. I am happy to report nothing became of these fears and moreover the place I live, Auckland, is nicely protected from tsunami by a long peninsula and many islands. It also helps that I am poor and could never afford coastal property anyway! I am also happy to say that from what I hear, no one in Tonga was hurt and my many friends there are all safe and well.

A while between tags
From Tim
I AM: The ruler of San Nakji's World
I WANT: 200 million dollars in small untraceable banknotes deposited into my Bermuda bank account immediately
I WISH: I had a Bermuda bank account
I HATE: All green vegetables
I MISS: my cousin Mitsy
I FEAR: that I know no one called Mitsy
I HEAR: voices in my head telling me to trust no one
I WONDER: I won won wonder, why.... runaway, run run run runaway...
I REGRET: that I have but one life to give for my country
I AM NOT: superman, but i like wearing my underwear on top of my jeans
I DANCE: like fred astaire on crack
I SING: like vanilla ice wishes he could sing
I CRY: never, as i had my tear ducts removed as a child
I AM NOT ALWAYS: truthful about past surgeries
I MAKE: up tags as i go along
I WRITE: for O magazine. My pen name is Oprah
I CONFUSE: my life with that of Oprah
I NEED: my pills, now!
I SHOULD: not miss a day of my pills
I START: cars with a single touch of my magic fingers
I FINISH: everthing i
I TAG: everyone on my blog roll

Geography
A survey on NBC has concluded that American kids are not that great at geography. How are you my blogging friends? Can you answer these questions? You have to be HONEST!
1) Locate Lousiana on a map
2) 70 000 people were killed in an earthquake in what country in October of last year?
3) Locate Iraq on a map
4) Locate India on a map
5) Locate Israel on a map
6) What is the most spoken language in the world?
7) What is the most heavily fortified border in the world?
Also, do you think it is important to speak another language? Do you think it is important to know where countries referred to in the news are located?
