Gorse Flower

Gorse was introduced into Aotearoa because Europeans thought it looked pretty. 150 years later we are paying for yet another mistake made by our ancestors. Gorse is everywhere and is really hard to get rid of. Still, the flowers are pretty....

Ancestors can be really stupid.

For instance, my ancestors didn't make money to leave me.

What are these European flowers doing there ? These flowers seeds are terrible, but in Brittany and even Vosges mountains the lanscape is beautiffuly yellow along the roads during a short laps of time during spring.
And did I do a mistake, am i rellay on theblog of S.N and not on the one of T.R ?

Pretty pictures however.

While I can't claim a rain free spring in Aotearoa, this time it was early morning dew.

They sure are beautiful flowers. It's weird when non-native plants or animals are introduced just for eye appeal. It's bad, because it messes up the natural ecosystem.

It's like when Kudzu was introduced to the American southeast. That stuff is everywhere!! And it suffocates the native plants.
