Happy New Year

Sunset, originally uploaded by San Nakji.

Dear Friends,

I have some serious posts in mind, but I thought I should start off by not being so serious. This being 2009 and all. 2009 is special because it is the Korean year of the Ox. That's a big deal for some of us. So, 2008 was not good, but 2009 is going to be great! And because I am so generous I will let some of my fortune rub off on my dear readers. You can't ask for a better NY present than that!

What a beautiful photo!

Why is the year of the Ox such a big deal? Here in Kenya, I think it's just regular only 2009.

Have a great one!

Dear San, thank you for your good wishes. It will be the year of the ox you say and no more the year of the rat I say.
The rat was the fastier animal and the more clever one. He arrived first. Then came the too kind ox. I'm ox. It will be MY year.
I'm suprised with the new look of your blog. I can remember when I came first. Then I can remember later when you let hudge birds catch you. (Hum) I prefer that new look and you maybe will do it simplier.
What do I wish for this new year ? I wish to discover lot of new persons like you. And to be happy to remember how it was in the past and to hope it will be the same perhaps in the future. It is what I meant when I said on Cergipontin :

"In 2009, I wish to be satisfied even with an empty pound, have serendipity and be able to discover and enjoy lot of pounds behind the hedge."

In French :
"Etre heureuse de revoir une mare, même si elle est tarie. Et trouver d’autres mares derrière des haies..."
