I am trying to push my crappy little Minolta to its' limits and yesterday I took a photo of a cicada that found its' way into San Nakji Manor. I have to come clean and say that I am not much of a wildlife photographer. I took five shots of this little guy and this was the only one that came out...
I really love cicadas. When they are around you know that summer is truly here and their continuous noise is somehow comforting. One interesting thing I learned recently about cicadas is that they don't come out of the ground every year, but after 3 years or seven years or 17 years. They have an infinity with prime numbers and somehow they have figured out this is the way to avoid predators. It seems to work well for them as we are never short of a ciacada or two!
San Nakji for President!
