Aotearoa's Christmas Tree

Every summer around Christmas the New Zealand Christmas Tree, known locally as the Pohutukawa, blooms. It is beautiful and with help from Project Crimson, where these trees are planted everywhere, we know summer has arrived by the brilliant red everywhere we look. Of course, I forgot to take any decent photos. The above photo is about as good as it will get until next Christmas. All the flowers have now gone away leaving the ground a nice red...

San Nakji for President!
