Tea and Revenge

While I was in Korea last year a nice young man offered to serve me tea. Who am I to say no to such an offer? The young man poured out some lovely green tea into one of the nicest cups I have ever seen. I was really looking forward to it. However, he committed a major faux pas by serving it on a lotus flower. Didn't he know my great uncle's friend's dog died choking on a lotus flower? Had he no heart? In a fit of rage I now deeply regret I beat him so hard he turned to stone... One day I will begin the healing process and turn him back, but I am just not ready, not now.

San Nakji for President!

I feel deeply for your sorrow. It is hard to lose your grandfathers.

As for beating him so hard that he turned to stone... well, we all have regrets.

Now now, San Nakji, revenge is not always the best way. He meant only to serve you the best. I'm sure he meant no ill, considering he probably didn't know the circumstances.

I suggest you turn him back. While I think he makes a wonderful statue...and a very handsome one at that, I think he might like the way he was. I'm sure he would never make that mistake again. *winks*

Sounds like peaceful San Nakji found his breaking point.

It is quite amazing to me how this young man was able to hold that ornate and delicate tea cup on the lotus flower all the while you were beating him so hard. Such dedication to ceremony is quite admirable, indeed.
