Weekly Animal Pic - Big Gull

Couldn't really find any photos of exotic animals, so I thought this photo of a Big Gull might do. He (or She) was big. He (or She) was also a Gull. So I jumped to conclusions....

San Nakji for President!

This was probably a safe jump.

Gulls are disdisgusting: they are often eating in thegarbage dumps.
French soccer goals (Barthez and Coupet) are such a pain: they are fighting for the post for the World cup ...

I once had a seagull steal a hamburger out of my hand at the beach.

They can be vicious!!!

Occasionally, when making a rare sales call on a customer, I will stop at a seafood take-away on Revere Beach Blvd on the North Shore of metro Boston. As soon as the seagulls see my fish and chips they are all over me. Whether I feed them or not, my car is always in need of a wash when I leave.
They are beautiful creatures to watch, though, as they "ride the thermals" and soar ever higher. If, what most people believe, they have no other needs than food, sleep and mating, then what is that all about? Hmmm.
BTW, I did spot a small octopus while snorkeling in Bermuda last week. It did not have long tentacles but had pod-type protrusions by which it walked on the coral. It was amazing the way it blended in with the surface it was on. I only noticed it because I was retrieving a shell near where it was and it moved away slightly.
