Stones

Koreans, although mainly Christian, Buddhist or Athiest, still have some affinity with the ancient Shamanist religions. One of the ways this manifests is through the piling of stones, usually around temples or sites of great beauty. If you see these piles, the thing to do is to add your own stone. It's good luck!

Are these really large stones or itty bitty ones? I think it would be neat to see them in all different sizes. Is that how it is?

Did you place stones too? I hope that if you did, it did bring you lots of luck.

*HUGS*

Luv ya!

Fascinating practice. It is interesting how our various religious cultures develop both similarly and differently.

I LOVE this photo and this practice
In Morroco you meet also piles of stones in the deset
I don't know why they are there, perhaps to help finding the way, or maybe like in Korea to get luck

I love all stones, because they are different from a place to another
These ones for instance are flat
I'd like to recognize all the differents stones in the world (some persons can do it), and give their name, know where they are coming from
but I have problems to read mineral world at the difference of living one
To day, I have not many time because Titui is coming for lunch at home with German friends, I'll come back later and comment your previous post
