All ? Not all ! Our common swans in europe are white and their babiesz are grey, and rather ugly. Andersen wrote a taile "le vilain petit canard" = ugly little duck In fact this ugly little duck (the story did not say if it was a male or female one ;oD) was a young swan and when it became an adult it became also a gorgeous white swan
Aww - that is cute! Can't wait for Spring, although (at least before last week's spot of snow) its been so mild we've already had daffodils in full bloom.
