Steaming Land
Aotearoa is often known as the Shakey Isles. It is a well deserved name as virtually the whole country in on a fault line. In our capital, Wellington, it is not unknown to have at least one earthquake a day. Nothing major, yet, but you never know! One of the most popular tourist spots in Aotearoa is a place called Rotorua. There you can see what lies beneath the earth. Boiling water, mud and steam abound as does the rather overpowering smell of sulphur. It is a great place to visit, Mother Nature is well in command there and she wants you to know it!San Nakji for President!

I have never been to Rotorua, but I was in Taupo, where they have a lot of that too. Very cool.
After the earthquake of 8th Oct last year, we Pakistanis well know the fury of mother nature.
reminds me a little of "jellystone" national park.
Lets go BOOBOO.
Wow! Very cool! Yup, looks like Yellowstone Park.
After living in California as a child, I remember the earthquakes quite well. We had them all the time.
That would be a cool site to see in person. Thanks for the photo.
